The world of the video vixen is not a career path to be frowned upon. Over the years numerous beautiful women have carved out successful and lucrative careers from being featured models in some of the worlds hottest music videos to branching off into other successful career paths including becoming Actresses,Writers and Entrepreneurs. Here is a look at some of the Models that have become recognised the world over.

The infamous Miss Steffans came from humble beginnings in St Thomas, USA. An early tumultuous childhood led Karrine stumbling into a shortlived career within the Porn industry. However, overtime she began to establish herself as a highly sort after video model. She has appeared in videos for artists including: R Kelly, Jay Z and  LL Cool J. As a Video Model Karrine gained recognised fame, however, it wasn’t until she published her memoirs- “Diary of a Video Vixen” in 2006 did she really explode. Within the book she publicly lay bare her sexual encounters with a number of renowned musicians. The book became a worldwide bestseller and since then she has written another book “The Vixens Diary” and a new book titled “The Vixen Manual” due for release July 2009.

The 25 year old beauty is no stranger to video modelling success. She has appeared in some of the biggest music videos of the past two years. They include: Fabulous and Neyo’s-”Love You Better”, Lloyd “Get it Shorty” Game “Put it on the Game” and Busta Rhyme’s “Touch It Remix” Maliah has become an overnight success since being approached to model back in 2006. As well as being a video model, she has also had features in King, Smooth, XXL and Blackmen.She now has her own official website where she updates fans on her up-coming projects.

Buffie “the Body” Carruth burst onto the modelling scene after appearing as the main girl in Tony Yayo’s “So Seductive” video in 2005. Since then she has exploded in a major way. She has featured in every men magazine within America as well has having a number of “tribute issues.” Her website Buffiethebody.com has become an internet sensation. Since the success of her debut in the “So Seductive” video she has also appeared in “Julez Santana’s “Oh Yes” and Kay Slays “You Can’t Stop the Reign. Buffie is also a business woman with her own books, exercise advice newsletters, DVD’s and even her own comic books.  Most recently she has also ventured into the world of acting- staring in her first “made for DVD” film “Subtle Seduction”.

Angel Lola Love is a Model, Actress and Singer who was born Fershgenet Melaku. The stunning model is of Ethiopian descent. Angel was discovered by the model agent, Mike Styles- CEO of the small scale agency Style Entertainment. Angel’s vital statistics 34C-22-40 made her an instant hit and within 8 months she had featured in Black Men Magazine and touted as being the “next big thing” in 2007. She has also appeared in Smooth and King Magazine. As a video model, Angel has appeared in numerous high profile music videos including: Kanye West’s “Good Life”,  50 Cent’s “I Get Money” Trey Songz “Wonder Woman” and Young Jeezy’s “I Love it.” More recently Angel has moved into Rapping and is currently working on her debut offering.

She is also a successful video model and has been a main model in videos including:  Nelly’s “Shake You Tailfeather”, Kanye West’s “The New Workout Programme” and Frankie J’s “Obsession” She has also featured in various men magazines including, BlackMen, Smooth, King, SSX and XXL.

The unmistakeable and unforgettable Esther Baxter is a successful urban glamour model and music video model who has appeared in as many as 20 music videos to date including the hits: “Freek-a-leek” Petey Pablo, “Caught Up” Ja-Rule “Number One Spot” Ludacris, “The New Workout Plan” Kanye West and “Keep it Low” TQ. She has also appeared in Smooth Magazine, XXL and King. It is her vital statistics which make Esther stand out from the competition with the measurements 34DDD-24-40. Miss Baxter broke many a hearts when she announced her retirement from modelling in August 2007. However, she re-emerged less than a year later and is now back hotter than ever.
