Marissa Jiang

Marissa Jiang is dangerous; you can almost hear her ticking. Ok, so maybe she’s not about to explode… but the rest of us certainly are. As sexy as they come, driven and intelligent, this entrepreneur is that most volatile yet alluring of concoctions.

Born and raised in China, Marissa has a master’s degree which landed her a job working for a top international media agency – but this exotic beauty won’t be tied down, as far as I’m aware, and after just 2 years of the 9-5 grind Marissa quit to forge her own path.

Snapped up by top glamour photographer Alan Strutt (Madonna, Cameron Diaz, Kelly Brook) for a photo shoot, Marissa had a career in glamour at her feet – but, determined to measure success by her own standards, and inspired by her sexy independent idols Kimora Lee Simmons and Jennifer Lopez, Marissa instead co-founded the wonderful Maxx Image; a urban glamour and music photography studio.

Now producing images as hot and sexy as her own, I think you’ll agree Marissa Jiang has got it going on.

Why did you choose to come to the UK?
I got fed up with people telling me how I should live my life, so I bought myself a one-way ticket to London.

Is it difficult to be taken seriously as an intelligent entrepreneur whilst being so drop-dead sexy?
Yes, very! In fact, it gets frustrating when guys would rather sleep with me than do any serious business.

You clearly have the looks and attitude to make it in glamour modeling. Why did you prefer to pursue your studio business instead?
Because I love being a boss! Ha ha! My Dad is in the property business and my mum runs her own logistics company. I guess doing business is kind of in my blood.
Having said that, if a good modeling opportunity comes along, I certainly wouldn’t say no.

What do you look for in a man (you know…or woman!)?
I like a man with a good face, who is confident and challenges me from time to time. A high sex drive would be great too, ha ha! I don’t mind girls, but I can’t have serious relationships with them.

Who would you most like to work with in a professional capacity?
Mariano Vivanco. I’ve been admiring his work since forever!

I know that you are really influenced by urban music. Who’s your favourite artist and why?
There’s too many to choose from. My all time favourite is Mariah Carey. She is the one who got me learning English. I used to memorize ALL of her lyrics.

Where would you like to be in 5 years time?
I’d like to see my company Maxx Image as a reputable industry name. Hopefully I will get to explore other ventures in the entertainment industry too.
